Architectural Vision

This project consists of two wooden houses located on an elevated terrain in Gams, accommodating a total of four ownership apartments. Each building contains two units, linked by a shared basement that embeds into the landscape, creating a cohesive architectural entity. The design takes advantage of the sunny southern slope, ensuring that the living spaces maximize natural light and provide unobstructed views of the surrounding nature, the St. Gallen Rhine Valley, and the Principality of Liechtenstein. Key features include private gardens, patios, and cellars in each unit, along with dedicated bicycle parking and outdoor access paths.
The apartments range in size and configuration, with two 3.5-room apartments on the ground floor and two 5.5-room apartments on the upper levels. The building layout allows for varying room arrangements to accommodate different living needs. Unique features include a substantial outdoor area for gardening, balconies for upper units, and a solid construction standard, which includes a compact architectural volume and environmentally thoughtful building materials. The project has also integrated energy solutions, such as a photovoltaic installation that complements an air-water heat pump system for energy efficiency.

- Sound insulation with a 30 cm wall thickness for internal surfaces

- Floating cement screed for flooring with integrated sound insulation
