Alte Schmitte

«Alte Schmitte» is a residential complex located in the municipality of Güttingen, comprising four buildings with a total of 24 rental apartments. The architectural design focuses on sustainability, featuring a wooden construction that meets high environmental and health standards. The project aims for a holistic energy-efficient approach, allowing the buildings to produce more green energy than they consume. Key features include spacious terraces and wooden balconies that extend living spaces outdoors, contributing to a comfortable living environment.

Each building is organized around a central staircase, dividing the upper floors into two apartments each. The residences are designed to maximize natural light, with generous balconies or terraces providing outdoor access that overlooks the green areas and historical structures in the vicinity. The interior spaces are designed with an emphasis on acoustics and comfort, featuring high-quality materials that ensure an excellent living climate.

In addition to the apartments, the complex includes common facilities such as underground parking, hobby rooms, and cellar spaces. The sustainable design incorporates a positive energy balance, with over 400% of the energy needs met through solar energy solutions, including photovoltaic panels on the roofs and facades. This makes the development a model for climate-positive living and energy efficiency, addressing current energy demands while contributing to climate protection efforts.
